These are Economic History lecture notes, possibly a lecturer's own notes. There are 6 notebooks within a slipcase. On the slipcase is written in pencil "Dr James Cunnison? Alec Macfie?" The identification of the author of these notes is not certain. There is one letter within volume 6 addressed to Dr Cunnison, but without a comparison of handwriting it has not possible to assign these notes to Dr Cunnison. Donald James Robertson was born on the 17 May 1926 , the son of Adam Robertson and Margaret Gibson. He was educated at Hutcheson's Boy's Grammar School, Glasgow and the University of Glasgow . After graduating in 1949 , he became assistant in the Political Economy Department, moving in 1950 to become research assistant at Oxford University's Institute of Statistics.
